WOYWW 144

Happy Wednesday to you! What's On Your Workdesk? Wednesday means only one thing - that we get to snoop around the creative spaces of our peers all hosted by the fabulous Ms Dunnit! This week I offer you an absolute tip. It was pristine on Sunday but then I decided to have a little play and all this happened! I have absolutely no idea how all this stuff came to be out but I guess my 'little play' must have been a little more like a romp through my shelves than a sedate walk! So from left to right - this is my workspace...
The sewing machine is out because Freya is making herself a bag from an old pair of jeans - I am looking forward to her tidying up after herself...!!! Though the rest of the stuff is mine... *hangs head in shame...!
There's stuff everywhere! That pile of papers and packages hides a ton of stamps that need putting away - why is getting stamps out so much more interesting and fun than putting them away? I think that was a rhetorical question!!! *Those paint bottles in the front will be explained later!
The little pot on the piece of paper is full of glitter. Now, those who know me well know I don't like glitter. After my little 'go' with it here I've gone and used it again! I've quite surprised myself! I hope you like my improvised funnel (a folded piece of paper) - my lovely friend Bev did buy me plastic tray thingie-me-bob that does the job properly but somehow I just can't quite stop using my trusty folded up paper! A phrase about dogs and old tricks comes to mind!
And behind me? Erm... more of the same I'm afraid! Mind you if Freya tidied up the sewing machine I'd be a little better off! In the box to the left are lots of blocks for Chunky ATCs lovingly sawed by my Dad - thank you Dad! I just need to put them away...! Kinda the story of the day 'eh?!
So, those bottles. What do you do when you need to hold something you are gluing in place but you need to cook tea at the same time? I love Fresco Finish paint - it's so versatile!!! As to what I am making? Well that will be revealed on Mother's Day!!!

Loved peeking around your room. Looks like a very productive spot to me.... And the helping hand paint bottles....I'm glad I'm not the only one who gets assistance from my supplies. Note to me...check back on Mother's Day to see what you've created. Have a great week.

You tease, I thought I'd get to see your Mother's day cards! Ha will be checking back for that. Lots of fun stuff on your desk, I have a thing about glitter too, it ends up everywhere if I try to decant and put back etc so I have a glitter station, a box where the glitter stays put, but the piece to be glittered goes in. Much tidier. Take care & enjoy this WOYWW, I'll try not to snoop too much! Zo x 62

hahaha I have the thingy-ma-bobber to pour the glitter back in but I have only used it once. I always use the paper funnel.

I have one of those plastic tidy trays but never use it, piece of paper is much easier!! Wonder what you're making your mum....
have a great day, buddy!

Great idea that tray re-the glitter , except , when I need it it is always underneath a mound of papers so I always refer back to the paper tunnel. You look to have been very busy but your room still looks kind of tiday. Happy crafting Gabrielle.

I'm with you on glitter - its like sand from the beach - it just gets everywhere !! I do have a pouring back tray - but I have to keep it clean of al the embossing powders end up with glitter in them too ! Lots going on with you today & glad to find someone with more stash than me ! I love the Fresco paints too but haven't used them on cards - so will stop back by to see the big reveal ! Have a good week Ali H #74

Now if you could just move that pesky sewing box I could drool over those Union Jack boxes a bit more!

My dad would say... Do as I say not as I do! So we will forgive the mess and you can flounce your DT ID around too! Love those paints - time for me to stock up too (PS Simon Says are now stocking PaperArtsy stamps!!! Yeah!)
Thanks for sharing with WOYWW...Sarah at 1

Oh Gabrielle, it’s so reassuring to see that other crafters desks get in the same stat as mine usually is in and it looks like you and your daughter have been very busy indeed.

Happy Crafting!

This is random, but I like your drawer set up. I'm sure you made it yourself, and it looks really cool.

I have that glitter thingy, too, but I still use the paper cone. It is just easier to me.

If you think this is an "absolute tip" I'd hate you to ever see my craft rooms! :) xxx

Hi there. Hee hee. When I was younger and did some sewing, my dad would come home and "pretend" to pick up a straight pin because he always told me if he found one he'd stick it to me! So since it's just the sewing machine on the table - that's o.k! hee hee

Happy WOYWW

Well if you randomly grabbed those four bottles of paint to act as a weight, I'd say your colour and season detector synapses are working perfectly!!
I just wanna give you a heads up...first, unlikely about self tidying sewing machine, and....putting sewing machine away won't magically tidy the desk to..just give you more room to spread! But ya see...I don't think it's that untidy..I'm about at the point of putting a match to mine because I've gone too far!!

Amazing how tidy turns to messy so quickly on a craft desk - love looking at your 'space'
