Are you finding that this year seems to be whizzing by? I love being part of the DragonsDream Tag It On team but the fortnightly challenges do seem to come around very quickly! This fortnight it’s my lovely friend Julie Ann’s turn to choose the recipe and she chose... toffee and lace.
I had lots of ideas involving toffee wrappers but then realised I didn’t have any toffees to use the wrappers! Doh! So instead I combined toffee colours and my favourite Wendy Vecchi lace stamp. The other stamps are also by Ms Vecchi (ain’t she clever?!). The scissors and thimble were stamped onto metal tape and thoroughly dried with my heat gun before cutting out – I guess that means I have finally learned that I need to dry it otherwise I smudge the image!

Great interpretation of the recipe, Gabrielle. I thought of toffee wrappers too and had exactly the same experience as you - and I chose the recipe! You'd think I'd have thought to buy some toffees! Anyway, it was the colour that grabbed my attention and I love how you've incorporated it in your background. I love sewing themed art. I do love Wendy V too. Need more of her stuff! xx
I have toffees but didn't think of using the wrappers..lol, what are we like! Love the tag you came up with though, Gabrielle!!
That's a fantastic tag, great details.
Oh! What a gorgeous background and great layers idea. Love the scissors and the thimble. Fabulous tag!! xx
Beautiful tag Gabrielle, a perfect colour palette for a sewing themed tag, reminds me of a pattern!
Stunning tag, so many details to look at.
