Over at Studio L3 Linda set a new Grungy Monday challenge based on Tim's 2007 technique. The Sunday Stamper theme this week is flight which was perfect as I had a brilliant idea but somewhere in the execution it didn't go quite to plan!!! It has turned out a little bland but I think it's important to own up occasionally that you can't always get things right! I used kraft stock and cut out wings, a large heart and a tag.
The wings were sprayed with Cosmic Shimmer Silver Mister and then covered in clear embossing powder. Now here's a tip - when you use a mist and then tap it firmly (just like Tim suggests) don't, and I mean don't, tap it over the excess powder - big globules of mist
fall into your powder and it's impossible to clean them out! Then I dusted Vintage Photo Distress Ink over the top. The heart was coated in Spun Sugar Distress Ink, embossed and the dusted with Victorian Velvet Distress Ink (next time I
think I'd use Fired Brick...!) The tag was covered with Symphony Tissue Tape, Vintage Photo Distress Stain and then misted with Heirloom Gold Perfect Pearls. I have a really old stamp (have no idea who made it - sorry) that I stamped with Jet Black Archival Ink and then added a 'heart' word. To the heart I attached a key with a jump ring. And that folks is that! Thanks, as always, for visiting it is very much appreciated! Gabrielle x
