200 and counting!

This week marks the 200th Sunday Stamper challenge set by Hels - quite some achievement! To mark this auspicious occasion she's set the challenge to be numbers. The Simon Says Stamps and Show challenge this week is to show a Tim Holtz technique and, never one to miss an opportunity, I combined the two!

I started with a MDF board and used several Distress Inks and Stains to create a background (technique #1). I then used a numbers mask and some Vintage Photo reinker and Heirloom Gold Perfect Pearls to mist over the mask (technique #2).
I then cut out the sentiment and edged in Vintage Photo Distress Ink (of course!) and adhered with Glossy Accents.
The optician's glasses were stamped on Kraft Card, cut out, edges as before and then I added Glossy Accents as the 'lenses'.
The number plaquette was inked with Alcohol Inks (technique #3) and backed onto a little of the mesh I've been saving from Tim's ArtsyCrafts class! I also bashed the brads with my Texture Hammer so that they looked less 'new' (technique #4) I used jump rings, charm clips, and a large Book D-Ring.
So, thanks to the fabulous Simon Says Stamp Dt for letting join in as this was really enjoyable and a huge congratulations again to Hels - how you keep thinking of new challenges after 200 is beyond me! Have a wonderful week and I hope that there's a little Easter egg left to eat!
