Ooh! It's time for a new challenge at DragonsDream Tag It On and this time there is a new theme of recipes! Each challenge will feature three 'compulsory' elements, and, as always, how you interpret these is up to you! This time Elizabeth chose "Behind the Mask" and the three ingredients are: stencils, paint and script!

This challenge was, if I am honest, music to my ears! I love using stencils and paint and found it really easy to delve into my PaperArtsy Fresco Finish paints! So I challenged myself to use purples as I don't often use those paints and used Moonlight, Pansy and Eggplant with a little of my favourite Beach Hut for contrast. I used three stencils a number stencil, a bingo stencil and a large dotty one. After I had had a lot of painty fun I did sand the project back to reveal a little of the kraft card tag beneath.
The picture makes it look like you need an optician's appointment as it seems all fuzzy and out of focus! Happily it looks ok once embellished! The final ingredient to use was script and so I used the large script stamp from Wendy Vecchi's Live and Make Art set and stamped it a couple of times on the tag with Seedless Preserves - you'll see this colour a lot more now I don't have to be so "economical" with it as there is now a reinker - hurrah!
I painted some kraft card with Beach Hut Fresco Finish paint and stamped on a scripty bird from PaperArtsy's Hot Pick 1103 using Jet Black Archival Ink. I also stamped out the long hinge and the Happiness sentiment for the bird to perch on. All were edged with Seedless Preserves Distress Ink. I dyed a ribbon for the top of the tag and flowery ribbon from Tim Holtz in Broken China Distress Stain as finishing touches.
So, how will you interpret the ingredients? For lots more incredible inspiration please do pop over and visit the other DT members as they have made some really different tags for your viewing pleasure! Thank you for visiting!

The blurry thing happens when you bump a light followed by a dark. If u do the dark first u don't get the blurry thing at all.
