I should start by welcoming my new followers - it is fabulous to meet you and I hope you find something of interest here! If you do, let me know!!! The challenge over at the inspirational Everything Wendy Vecchi group this fortnight is bright colours.... eeek!!!! I have been firmly in a kraft card mood for weeks now and I am not sure how bright I can go (especially when I have a really lousy virus which is making me utterly miserable) so I thought I should have a go and somehow went REALLY bright! I hope you are wearing sunglasses or your monitor is turned down as there isn't even a whiff of Vintage Photo Distress Ink on this piece!!!
I cut four pieces of mountboard at 8cm square and then applied the Distress Ink directly to the pieces of board (Picked Raspberry, Mowed Lawn, Squeezed Lemonade, Peacock Feathers). I put lots and lots of water droplets on them until I was happy (they hardly show on the yellow one!) and dried them. Then I stamped out four images of the chap from Wendy's Call it Art set, on plain white card with Jet Black Archival Ink, and inked them as before.
The sentiment was stamped on to card and cut out - I would like brownie points for not edging the sentiment in Vintage Photo - I must have reached for it about five times... but resisted!!! I am pleased that I managed to go out of my 'comfort zone' and hope it made you smile! Have a great weekend - I'm off to swoon on the sofa in a dramatic fashion in the hope one of the children feels sorry for me and puts the kettle on...!!!
