Brown, hands and vellum

Welcome to another challenge at DragonsDream Tag It On and this time the rather fabulous Silvia has chosen brown, hands and vellum as our base ingredients as well as the usual additions that there must be a stamp and for it to be a tag.
I used Grunge Paste through a stencil and when dry added layers of watered down paint applied with Cut and Dry foam. The paints were increasingly lighter shades of brown and when dry I sanded the tag to bring these layers to the fore and the lighter shade of the Grunge Paste. I added a background stamp in Sepia Archival Ink in places. The hands were stamped on to grunge paper and then the cuffs inked with Vintage Photo Distress Marker. The hands were then edged with some of the remainder paint on my foam!
The Art Part frame was treated the same way as the tag and I added a little Treasure Gold to make it ‘pop’. The Butterfly was again stamped on to grunge paper and I drew round the outside of the wings with Vintage Photo Distress Marker and then blended the colour with a water pen. A little more Treasure Gold on the wings finished my butterfly off! I did have a huge problem trying to find the vellum that I know I own but could not find at all (what’s the betting that I find it as soon as I stop looking for it?!) so I added some Tissue Wrap to the back of the Art Part as it looked vellum-like!
I hope you’ll join in with us the fortnight and that you’ll stop by and admire the other DT work – it’s beautiful!
