Sun...sea...sand

I am really taken with these beach hut stamps from Jo Firth-Young – I’m sure you’re getting fed up with me using them! For my second project for the new Country View Crafts Challenge this month, with the theme of Summertime, I made a little plaque for my bathroom this time.

I started with an mdf blank and added blue and white paint and a little yellow across the bottom with my finger. I added some stencilling in the sky to give it a little interest and then used some of the fabulous new stamps from Emma Godfrey for the sun and a cloud. These were stamped on tissue paper and painted on the reverse.

I stamped the mini beach huts on tissue paper and painted the backs. I then added the repeated sentiment along the bottom. I’m really pleased with my little plaque – it looks fabulous on my wall!
