Cracking Invite

This month's Crackle challenge at Country View Crafts Challenges has inspired some fabulous projects and I humbly add this one. My daughter turns sweet sixteen this month - right in the middle of her GCSEs (poor gal) and so we will be celebrating at the end of the month when she's free! I made this tag as the invite for family to come and help her celebrate the end of her exams and her belated birthday!
I made the background using the same technique as earlier this month (see here for more details but this time I used Slate and Chalk) and then added the stamping before colouring them in with watercolour pencils and then Prismacolour pencils.
We hope that you will be able to join in with us this month.

I love the distressed and grungy feel and the bright colours, great tag! Hope your daughter has a great party (and good GCSEs results too!)

Your tag is perfect for your daughters party invite Gabrielle. Poor girl turning 16 during her exams....you need to really party for her later. Great use of crackle too xx

Oh Gabrielle it's gorgeous. Poor Freya. Taking exams on her birthday? But with this very special, beautifully made set of invites, a lot of family and friends will help her celebrate once the exams are over. Happy birthday Freya!!

brilliant invite for a 16th birthday! My daughter has the same fate - her 17th birthday is in June too, between two exams days. Poor girls! But they will party belated!
xx Evelyn
