F is for Flower

It's time, again, for another letter in the DragonsDream Tag It On alphabet challenge. I am really loving these! This time the very talented May has chosen the letter 'F' and to use the colour green, at least one stamp and a tag.
I loved making the background for this tag so much I really didn't want to cover it up! I'm not sure the photo shows it clearly enough but it's really lovely! The 'F' I chose was 'Flower' and so broke out my fabulous Wendy Vecchi stamps. The leaves are from PaperArtsy.
I hope you'll join in with us this fortnight!

You are my Sunshine

At Crafty Boots this fortnight Kerry chose the theme 'Sunshine'. I made an Art Parts ATC inked with 'Pure Sunshine' Dylusions ink and added some leaves, the fabulous bird and his pointy titfer! How might you interpret the theme?!

It's 2014!

Today's one of those days where I'm posting twice in a day! The first is because it's my turn over at Country View Crafts today and here's a sneaky peek...!

Love is a word beginning with L

Well, another fortnight has passed and it's time, again, for another letter in the DragonsDream Tag It On alphabet challenge. I am really loving these! This time the very lovely Silvia has chosen the letter 'L' and to use script, at least one stamp and a tag.
Being a bit of an old softy I chose the word 'Love' and used Dylusions inks and Rock Candy Crackle Paint (haven't used that for ages!). The heart is by Wendy Vecchi. The script was stamped using Wendy's Red Geranium Archival Ink which is hard to show in the photographs but hopefully you can see it in this closeup (look top left!)
We hope you'll join in with us this fortnight!

His imagination

Crafty Boots are starting 2014 with the challenge of 'Anything Goes' and I have made an Art Parts ATC using lots of goodies from Tim Holtz. The phrase sums up my son who has the biggest imagination of anyone I have ever met! He absolutely loves to dress up, be it in costume or with a prop i.e. simply finding a stick when we're out walking She Who Eats Art that becomes a wand, or a sword, or a lightsaber... you get the idea!
I hope you get inspired and join in with us this fortnight! This post goes 'live' on my first day back at work after the Christmas holidays - I had a fabulous holiday - shame it had to end!

Opposites Attract

The Country View Crafts Challenges theme this month is Monochrome! For my second project for this month's theme of Monochrome I chose to use pink and black spray inks in my journal. I also decided to see what would happen if I played around with stencils! Using spray inks there is always some left on the top of stencils and so I simply flipped the stencils over. If you have stencils, why not have a go?!

A Tulip and an Elephant

My rather special friend Helen is kicking 2014 off in style with a new theme at DragonsDream Tag It On. The new overarching theme this time is the alphabet and this fortnight she chose 'T' , stencils and the usual rules - to include at least one stamp and a tag.
I chose 'Tulip' and used a combination of PaperArtsy paints and Dylusion inks to create the tag. The Tulip is a design by the incredibly talented Lin Brown and the stencil I used was a Dylusions one.
As I missed the challenge last time (thanks to my grumbly elbow) I thought I'd add mine (albeit very late!) - it was 'E' and purple and I chose...!!!
I hope you'll join in with Helen's challenge this time!

New Year's Resolution

Ooh Happy New Year!

It's time for a new theme over at Country View Crafts Challenges and it's Monochrome! Mindful that this month's theme begins on New Year's Day I chose to use my journal to record a Resolution. This isn't my Resolution but it's one that has always amused me! Resolutions are tricky as they are so easily broken - mine this year will be something along the lines of "Do all my physio exercises so my elbow heals quickly" as I've more surgery to it early next year!
Monochrome to me is black and a colour and so I used Dirty Martini Dylusions ink. They joy of a simple page in your journal means that as the year passes I can go back and add to it as and when I get new stash throughout the year! I like pages that evolve over time.
