Be bold

For my second project for Country View Crafts Challenges I used some of my favourite stencils. The squares and numbers feature a lot in my journal pieces - you might not always find them as they are in the background but they are there! I love stars so they needed to feature too! The leaf was stencilled using Grunge Paste. I added blue paint once dry and then sanded it to reveal the paste as a highlight. Then I drew round the leaves to give them some emphasis.

There is still time to join in this month's Blog Hop and the stencil challenge - more details on both can be found here. Thank you, as always, for stopping by.

Infusions

Over at Country View Crafts Projects blog I have shown a project using Infusions (and a couple of ways to use these little bottles of joy).
I promised I'd show a couple of other projects using Infusions and here they are! Using A Bit Jaded and Emerald Isle I added colour to the top and then bottom of the page:
And here it is finished! This is currently the lock screen on my phone so I see it several times a day!
Using Blackcurrant and Are You Cerise I made this tag...
And with a little decoration:
And for the final project I made a really cool wood effect using Lemoncello and Sunset Beach
And this is the finished mini journal page (can you tell I made it at Easter time?!)
Thank you, as always, for stopping by!

Subtle Stencilling and a blog hop

It is a new month and a new challenge at Country View Crafts Challenges. The new theme is Stencils and this couldn't be more perfect for me as I LOVE stencils! For my first project this month I was more restrained than usual and added stencilled bullrushes in the background (highlighted with watercolour pencils) and some stencilled arrows. The whole background has about 20 layers of paint and Infusions on it and I love it!

This month alongside our Challenge, we are also running a Blog Hop with a Sizzix Big Shot Machine & Die Bundle as the prize. To enter, you must be a Follower of our Challenge Blog and Hop along to each of our Design Team Members Blogs and leave a comment. We will still be running our normal monthly challenge and those who link their Use A Stencil projects will also be entered into our £20 Voucher draw. The Winners will be picked at random in early June.  So hop on over to Christine's 1st Project - Use A Stencil or, if you've been there already, hop on to Jennie. The blog hop order is:

Thank you, as always, for popping by and I hope that you enjoy the blog hop this month and that the fabulous prize is yours! Good luck!
